Afro-Latina Beauty (ALB) is a digital platform that embraces and celebrates the culture, fashions, people, and the modern lifestyle of Afro-Latinas. ALB highlights members of this community that people do not realize are Afro-Latin like Carmelo Anthony, Tatiana Ali, etc., It also sheds light on the greatness they bring to this world and much more.  

 

Do you love writing and creating digital artwork about topics such as fashion, beauty, travel, or entertainment? If this sounds like you, apply to the Afro-Latina Beauty Blogger Internship! It is an opportunity that can help fine-tune your writing skills while becoming a voice for the Afro-Latin community. 

 

This is an unpaid internship that can be used for experience and/or college credit to get you ready for a career in writing or Journalism.

 

Responsibilities

​

• Contribute 2-3 articles per Month

• Website maintenance (including the site’s photo gallery, articles, overall updates, etc.)

• Posting across all social medial 2-3 times a week 

• Bring new, engaging and exciting content using innovative research and storytelling skills

• Follow blogging calendar and submit articles by deadlines

• Promote articles and long-form content on social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Youtube, Pinterest, etc.)

• Respond to blog comments and engage with readers

• Seek and identify relevant partnerships and brand alignments 

 

 

Skills Requirements

• Exceptional writing, research, and communication skills

• Creativity and adaptability

• Proficiency with computers, especially content management software, social media platforms, and SEO keywords, a basic understanding of HTML

• A hard worker who’s good with details

• Self-motivated and results-driven

• Knowledge of Google products (G-suite, Google drive, Google Meet, etc.) 

• Interest in marketing and branding

• Strong interest and familiarity in social media, digital media, and communications 

• Creative thinker with the ability to multi-task and change gears quickly

• Agile, flexible, and able to think strategically 

 

 Schedule

Afro-Latina Beauty is willing to work with interns' schedules as to what days of the week would be most convenient to complete a workweek of 15 hours.
